As winter approaches, the Dracut community is gearing up to ensure the safety of its residents and maintain smooth traffic flow with the implementation of the Winter 2023-2024 Snow and Ice Removal Program. The program aims to uphold public safety by strictly enforcing designated Town By-Laws throughout the entire winter season.
Town By-Laws in Focus:
It shall be unlawful for the operator or person in charge of any vehicle, other than acting in an emergency, to park said vehicle on any public street on any day, between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 a.m., between December 1st and March 15th.
For any violation of the provisions of Section 1, an offender may be punished by a fine not exceeding $10.00 (Ten Dollars).
Your Cooperation Matters:
The success of the Snow and Ice Removal Program relies heavily on the cooperation of the community. By adhering to these regulations, residents contribute to the efficient functioning of snow and ice removal efforts, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in Dracut.
Your cooperation is not only appreciated but essential for creating a safer and more navigable environment for all. As we brace ourselves for winter's challenges, let's work together to keep our streets clear, safe, and accessible.
Stay safe and warm this winter season!
