Go "out" to eat

A-Brew's

August 31 is Eat Outside Day, and if you haven’t seen the forecast for Thursday, it calls for sunny skies and a 0% chance of rain and low humidity. Perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco.

If you don’t feel like preparing your own lunch or dinner but would rather have someone else do the work for you, there are six restaurants in Dracut that will make you a meal while you sit outdoors and enjoy the promised pleasant weather.

They’re listed below. Let them know Dracut Economic Development sent you.

A-Brew's Tap & GrillA-Brew’s, 1794 Bridge Street

Right at the beginning of Bridgewood Plaza, “Dracut’s Hometown Grill and Music Club” offers lunch and dinner, from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., as well as Keno. And starting at 9 p.m., you can sing after your supper with Karaoke with DJ Blacky.

The Boat, 294 Tyngsboro RoadThe Boat

The kitchen’s open from 4-9 p.m., and if you’re around at 6:30, you can participate in a Meat Raffle. Stick around till 8, and you can sine Karaoke with Chris M. Try your hand at Keno while doing all of the above.

Grazie Italian RestaurantGrazie Italian Restaurant, 80 Meadow Creek Drive

If you’re looking for a view with your outdoor dining, you’ll find no better view in town than at Grazie. It has been said that on a clear day, you can make out the Boston skyline. If nothing else, you can watch local golfers tee off at Four Oaks Country Club. Grazie is open from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m., on Thursdays.

Owen and Ollie’s, 91 Mill StreetOwen and Ollie's

O&O’s is open 11 a.m.-11 p.m., in the historic Beaver Brook Village, built in 1851. If your group has a designated driver, Owen & Ollie’s will provide that person with “reasonable quantities of nonalcoholic beverages.” Play Keno and maybe you’ll win enough to spring for the tab.

Sandbar Beach ClubSandbar Beach Club, 39 Elm Street, Tyngsboro

Yes, the Sandbar’s address is in Tyngsboro, but the beach along scenic Long Pond lies in Dracut – and that’s where the outdoor dining is located. And you can drive your boat right up, dock it and enjoy a meal. You must be a member or a guest (memberships vary from $10 to $350). Open from noon-10 p.m., on Thursdays.

Tavern on the Line, 1794 Bridge StreetTavern on the Line

We began this alphabetical list at the beginning of Bridgewood Plaza, and we end it at the end of the plaza. The Tavern is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., on Thursdays. Play Keno while you dine. And if you can hold off till 5 p.m., that’s when the Tavern starts serving its well-loved prime rib.
