Dracut’s Board of Selectmen presented William Cassotis, president and CEO of Lazy River Products
, a commendation for the company’s “outstanding commitment to the Town of Dracut.”
Cassotis attended the November 21 selectmen’s meeting, where Chairwoman Alison Genest called Lazy River Products “a great community partner,” especially the cannabis company’s annual participation in a community cleanup campaign along Routes 113 and 110.
“We really appreciate you putting in that effort
and doing what you do for the community,” Genest said to Cassotis.
While accepting the citation, Cassotis told the selectmen,” We look forward to it every year and look forward to continuing this every year. It’s a big deal for us, and it’s a great way to get everybody together and pitch in and clean up our little stretch of Dracut.”
Lazy River Products is one of four recreational cannabis facilities in Dracut and the only facility that also produces its own products on site. It is located at 149 Broadway Road.
The company’s mission, according to its website, www.lazyriverproducts.com
, is “to be recognized as the Commonwealth’s premier fully integrated cannabis based Product Development Company.”
The mission statement continues: “We will always diligently work within each of the local communities we touch to help facilitate strategies to further enhance economic opportunity, build strong neighborhoods and provide a solid framework for quality growth and development.”
