A wise person once said, “If you want to make everyone happy, sell ice cream.” It works for Michelle Santos.
A teacher by profession, Michelle bought an ice-cream truck eight years ago and called her Aiken Avenue-based business Michelle’s Ice Cream Dreams & More. Who doesn’t get automatically happy when they hear the ring of the ice-cream truck’s bell?
“I like making people happy,” says Michelle, who first ran her own ice-cream truck at age 17 before becoming a teacher. “I’m a community-based person. I’m always trying to do my best to give. I love that old nostalgic feeling of seeing kids enjoy something. It brings me great joy.”
Michelle likes to drive her truck full of ice
-cream novelties to various neighborhoods in Dracut, as well as to elderly housing areas. You can rent her truck for birthday parties, corporate events, block parties, or any other type of event. She loves to make kids happy and has a program called “A Is for Ice Cream,” in which she’ll give a child a free ice cream if they show her an A on their report card or a reading log.
Michelle is interested in expanding at some point, but for now, she’s happy making others happy. Visit her at https://michellesicecream.com, or call 978-758-8819.
