Per M.G.L. c. 66, § 10 (a)-(b), the agency has 10 business days to fill this request.  Should the agency not intend to produce records, or if it is unable to produce records within 10 business because the magnitude or difficulty of the request or if multiple requests from the same requestor unduly burdens the other responsibilities of the agency or municipality, the agency or municipality must provide a written response to the requestor within 10 business days of receiving the request.

The fee schedule is as follows, if you are at the window:

  • Five cents ($0.05) per accident report
  • Five cents ($0.05) per page for incident reports
  • Price of 911 tapes is to be determined

Unless specifically addressed by the statute, a custodian may charge five cents ($0.05) per page for photocopies, five ($0.05) per page for microfilm copies and five cents ($0.05) per page for computer printouts.

The Parking Violation Notice may be returned by mail, personally, or by an authorized person and payment must be by postal note, money order or by check made out to:

A Hearing or Hearing by mail may be obtained upon the written request of the registered owner. Failure to obey this notice within the 21 days after day of violation will result in a $5 surcharge. Also, the possibility of non- renewal of the license and registration of the registered owner, increased fines or seizure of the vehicle.
