The Dracut Sewer Department operates the Town’s municipal wastewater system, functioning as a consecutive system through Lowell to the Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility (LRWWU) and through Methuen to the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD). The Department owns and maintains eighteen (18) sewer lift/pump stations, with contracted support from Watermark Environmental Inc.
In addition, Sewer Department staff are responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the Town’s sewer system main lines, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient wastewater collection and conveyance for the community. Our dedicated office staff provide essential administrative support, assisting residents, coordinating operations, and ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the department.
