Stormwater Department
The Stormwater Department performs numerous functions to support the Town's drainage system, receiving streams, and ultimately to comply with the 2016 Massachusetts Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4).
The Town of Dracut’s Stormwater Management Program implements activities and measures to comply with the terms and conditions of the MS4 permit. The main elements of the stormwater program comply with the 6 minimum control measures:
- Public Education and Outreach
- Public Involvement and Participation
- Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) Program (PDF).
- Construction Site Stormwater Runoff Control
- Post Construction Stormwater Management in New Development and Re-development
- Good Housekeeping and pollution prevention for permittee owned operations
