Any non-corporate business operating in the Town of Dracut is required by law to file a Doing Business As (DBA) certificate with the Town Clerk’s Office.
The first step is to get a New Business Determination Form, which must be reviewed and signed by the Building Inspector. To make this easier, the Town of Dracut now offers the Determination Form online, so you can complete the request without needing to visit the office first.
Once you have the signed Determination Form, bring it to the Town Clerk’s Office to begin filing your DBA.
Please note that the Business Certificate is a notarized document, and all listed owners must appear in person with valid photo identification so their signatures can be notarized. The certificate is valid for four years, and the filing fee is $50.
