Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot

Any U.S. citizen is allowed to become a registered voter. You must be 18 years old at the time you register or you are allowed to register early if you will be 18 by the day of the election. You can register in person at any city or town hall or pick up a mail-in form and fill it out and mail it in. Persons receiving a new Massachusetts driver's license can register to vote at the Registry of Motor Vehicles by filling out the back of the license information form.

Absentee ballots are available at least three weeks prior to an election. An absentee ballot can not be hand-carried out of the office. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is noon (12 o'clock) the day before the election. You can request an absentee ballot application by calling the office. A person may vote in person at the Town Clerk's Office during regular hours before an election or have the ballot mailed to them.
